Equity Capital Markets

The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team advises on capital raising in the equity and equity-linked markets. The team takes the lead in advising, structuring, syndicating, distributing and pricing equity and equity-linked products, which include initial public offerings (IPOs), placements, rights issues, block trades, convertible bonds and buybacks.

J.P. Morgan is the first bank in Korea to achieve a dual listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and Korea Exchange (KRX) with the initial public offering of Kumho Tire in February 2005. Notable transactions include:

• Bookrunner on POSCO's JPY24.5bn EB into SK Telecom ADRs (2011)
• Sole placing agent for KCC Corporation's US$601m accelerated secondary selldown of Mando Corporation (2011)
• Joint bookrunner for KDIC's US$140m accelerated secondary sell-down of Shinhan Financial Group (2011)
• Sole bookrunner for US$150m Convertible Bond on Hanjin Shipping (2011)
